NICKLED & DIMED

Why aren't we at the harbor, casting crates of tea into the bay, at how we are being nickled & dimed to death. It seems to have started with the creation of ATM's and how the charges increased. Now take a peak at your utility bills, a million and one various charges and taxes. Try and figure out what everything refers too on a cell phone bill. Restaurants, which included soup, salad, and dessert with your main course order have jumped on the band wagon. I could live with the elimination of the soup and salad from the price of the meal. But when you are charged seperatly for the potatoes and vegetable, that's going a bit to far. Boys and girls it is time to get the fife and drums out of the closet and light those torches. Let us start marching to the bay.

I hate "convenience fees" when you pay for something on-line. It's "convenient" for them because they don't have to have an employee opening the mail and processing a check. Why do we have to pay for that?

It's worse when it's for your bills. My insurance company charges me $1 to take money out of my account every month, but it wanted me to pay $3 to write a check! There is no way to avoid that fee! How fair is that? And it isn't some wacky hillbilly company either,Pelmo, it's State Farm.

To meander. Vote with your feet and get your friends to follow suit. If there is a place to complain on line do so. When they loose buisness that will cease.

As for Liza, you and your friends can also vote with your wallet and switch. And let them know why. If they don't charge for charging it on a credit card do so. Get a card that pays cash back, and you will be killing two stones with one bird. But always be shure to pay off the card so as not to incur fees.
