STUPID QUESTIONS OF THE DAY

The Republicans and their backers are screaming drill, drill, drill for new oil sources. On the other hand the Democrats and all their backers are just as loud in telling us it wont help us at the gas pumps today and that it will take ten years to bring this new oil on line.

So who is right and who is wrong? My question is, if we don't do anything today as they toss this political football around without action from either side; then what will happen ten years from now when we have to wait another ten years to bring it on line?

Isn't that how we got into this mortgage mess? Everyone just looked at their low payments for a year or two, and made no provisions for the day when they would skyrocket up in the future.

Can't these two parties set politics aside and do something that would be beneficial for you and I?

What a question. The parties are looking out for themselves and only themselves. There is a compromise that should be reached in the Oil/Renewable energy debate, but neither side wants to do it. Have to have that wedge issue, don't ya know.

The mortgage mess is both greed from the people and greed from the lenders. If you can only afford a $200,000 house, then don't buy the $350,000 home. That is common sense. Also, we have mortgage companies actually admitting that they fudged the numbers for people to get loans for the houses they couldn't afford. Nice to see greed and vanity in the marketplace.

The reason they don't do it, is because everyone is starting to think like he CEO's of the big corporations. Just worry about this quarters profits, and nothing else. Nobody looks to the future and plans ahead.

It's the excessive greed that has gotten us in all this mess.

There is no solution to this but Drill, Drill, Drill and develop alternatives. The Dems are flat out wrong on this issue and it will come back to haunt them.

Goon, I was surprised to see you weren't a dentist with all that talk of drill, drill, drill.
