I just love this blog world. There are many that make you think, laugh and are even informative. But the trend in the political ones have this old guy shaking his head. They all remind me of my grammar school days when the teacher's pet was left in charge when the teacher left the room, to snitch on those who misbehaved.
On a daily basis when you look at a liberal blog, it's "teacher, teacher look at what the Republicans did today". The little stoolies at the conservative blogs do the same as they blame everything on the Democrats. Then like kids on a play ground, they find idiots who know less then they do, and after they print their comments it is taken as the gospel truth because they agree with the blogger's point of view.
And it's considered treason to agree with the opposite party, even tho it may be the best plan ever. And so the little game is played as both sides bicker and nothing is accomplished. Our elected officials throw us little bones that all these dyed in the wool Democrat and Republican backers fight over.
Never see any of these blogs complain that it's always partisan politics when it concerns matters that effect us in our daily lives, yet how easily party lines are crossed in Washington whenever big business or the politicians are the ones to gain.
They promise us a health care plan you can't make heads or tails of. Wouldn't it be nice if someone asked the candidates why we can't have a plan like members of congress? If it's good enough for them, why isn't it good enough for us? And it took them ten years to raise the minimum wage, while they got how many raises?
Stop the bickering and stop salivating at these bones they throw us. Just join forces and demand a bit more from those fools in congress.

See, the minimum wage and expanded access to healthcare are Democratic ideas. The other side calls these "socialism" and if they attain power will not only not advance those solutions, but work to dismantle whatever does exist. If you cease to fight, you lose. If you fight, you either advance those solutions or at least maintain the status quo.
Both sides have radical philosophical differences that usually can't be bridged. Again, as in those two issues above, you either believe in government intervention or you believe it's the worst thing on earth. Most of us have looked at the issues and decided one side is right and the other isn't. Most of us would rather not 'get something done in Washington' if that something is what we thought was counterproductive and wrong to begin with.
You missed the whole point.
We get battered each day with propaganda from both sides at how evil the other party is. They both bring out experts to back them up in their statements, until finally people start to believe the garbage they are tossing out for public consumption.
That's why we are in all this mess. With so many taking the attitude of it's our way or no way at all, the clowns in Washington are doing as they please.
Look at what congressmen have voted themselves in pay, pension and perks and the type of health care they receive at our expense. And you brag about a promise of access to health care and that massive raise in minimum wage as Democratic ideas, whoope do.
When it's our welfare at stake they rage a royal battle to keep from passing legislation to favor us. But how easily they reach accord and cross party lines when it favors them. So who are the fools?
We're the fools, Pelmo. And we're running an upside down socialist society: Congress accomplishes nothing, and we pay them to do it.
And when they do something so bad that we organize and try to stick their feet to the fire, they bring up abortion and that divides the mob in half, and then they bring up homosexual marriage and that divides the halves into quarters, and then they bring up something else and we all go home in little bitty split up crowds...defeated, and slaves to the bureaucracy. And I haven't the faintest idea what can be done about it...other than move along and watch the system rot under ever-increasing corruption.
